The Hoover Floor Mate is designed to clean hard floors such as vinyl, tile, and sealed wood. That's it, don't expect anything more from these machines. They will not clean your carpets in any way. They are made to apply cleaning solution to bare floors, scrub the surface, and then suck up the dirty solution. The floor mate does this very well. They also have a setting to dry vacuum hard floors. It works, but understand that Floor Mates have about half the suction power as does a vacuum cleaner or carpet shampooer (6.1 amp. vs. 12.0 amp.) so, in the dry vac mode, they don't pick up dry dirt as well. They do well, but they may miss a Cheerio or two.
● This 2nd generation model vacs, washes and dries hard surface floors (wood, tile, vinyl, etc…) with ease. If you can use an upright vacuum, you can "FloorMate."
● Exclusive, removable SpinScrub brushes --- 7 in all --- do all the work for you. They gently and safely wet-scrub and buff hard floors and pop out for easy cleaning. Dual tank system --- one for cleaning solution and one for pick-up, ensure that dirty water is never put back down on clean floors.
● Portable detail kit includes telescoping wand with swivel nozzle (for cleaning around toilets) plus grout cleaning tool and grout brush (to clean and brighten grout).
● Fingertip trigger control lets you control where, when and how much cleaning solution you apply.
